Function of Pipette Filler / Rubber Bulb
A pipette filler is used to transfer a certain volume of solution, which is usually called an aliquot. A filler is a device for siphoning solutions that can be installed at the base of a measuring pipette. Rubber as a filler is a chemical resistant rubber.
The filler has 3 channels, each of which has a valve. Valves with the symbol A (aspirate) are useful for removing air from bubbles. S (suction) is a valve which, if pressed, the liquid from the tip of the pipette will be sucked up. Then the E (exhaust) valve functions to remove the liquid from the measuring pipette.
